Wampler Pedals is a company located in Martinsville, Indiana [1] that produces effects units to be used with guitar and bass guitar as well as guitar amplifiers. [2] Founded by Brian Wampler in 2007, Wampler Pedals is considered part of the boutique guitar pedal industry. [3] [4] The Wampler Gearbox dual overdrive pedal features two independent circuits in one enclosure. Channel one is a tweaked version of the Tumnus circuit, with Level, Tone, and Gain knobs. Channel two is a modified Pinnacle circuit, with Gain, Level, Bass, Mids, and Treble knobs. Channel two also boasts a Gate control for filtering out unwanted noise. The Tumnus by Wampler is an amazing sounding overdrive pedal. I also own another Klone (J.Rockett Archer) and both pedals are great. For some reason though, the Wampler's take on this classic feels somewhat better. I have it paired with a Wampler mini-Ego compressor.
